Christmas is a couple of weeks away. Don't worry theirs still plenty of time complete those Christmas lists. You'll see at least one gadget on your child's list such as: Xbox, Kindle, Nintendo 3DS, While its fine for kids to play with these items we need to help them set limits on these devices.
Read my blog "Less Screen time more fun time." for tips on how to help your child cut back on screen time.No matter what climate you live in it's so important for kids to play outside as much as possible. I much rather buy something that keeps them moving than something that keeps them planted in front of a device. They play hard and sleep harder.

This one is for kids 5+. It's a scooter with a Y shape. It makes kids twist their bodies really working their core and helps strengthen those leg muscles. Best of all its a LOT of fun and not a scooter they are going to put down after a couple of minutes.
Razor Jetts Heel Wheels
Anytime I put roller skates they can barely stay upright, holding onto me for dear life, stiff as a board. They usually finish in a cranky mood and don't want to try again for a long time.
Razor Jetts Heel wheels attach to your kid's shoes. They have much more control since the wheels are only on the back part of their shoes. They can walk in them and then move their foot to start skating. It's a great way to keep your child active without having to worry about them falling every few minutes.

My son got one of these flash riders for Christmas when he was 6. He's now 8 years old and this is still his favorite thing to ride.
The neighborhood kids love it and want to test it out. It's really easy to maneuver and once you pull the lever it makes you do a 360 spin. It looks like a lot of fun.
It comes with sparks that go off when you spin. These sparks last for several months and you can always buy more of these sparks from Razor when they run out. My son is just as happy without them.

Laser guns can be a whole lot of fun and great exercise. My kids have endless hours of fun with these. They can even play indoors but that usually drives my dogs nuts.

Best for kids 10 years old and up. What better way to stay active and build a strong core then testing your entire balance? Hover Boards can hold adults too so you can steal your child's toy and have some fun too. This is one toy they will hold onto for quite some time. Which can be worth the almost $200 investment.
